Dr. Reene Joseph
Personal Profile
Reena is a registered general dentist in New Zealand, holding a
Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, India,
obtained in 2002.
Between 2007 and 2012, she pursued a postgraduate doctorate degree
(Ph.D.) at Tokyo Medical and Dental University, Japan. During 2012-2013, she was fortunate to receive the ITI (International Team for Implantology) scholarship, which enabled her to gain valuable training at the Oral and Maxillofacial Department, Katharinen Hospital, Germany.
Additionally, she conducted postdoctoral research at Showa University
and has contributed to several publications in international journals.
Upon relocating to New Zealand, she successfully passed the Australian
Dental Council exam in 2022 and has been working in various clinics
across Auckland since.
Her expertise encompasses all aspects of general dentistry, with a
particular passion for oral surgery (including wisdom tooth extraction),
restorative dentistry (fillings, crowns, and bridges), and gum disease
treatment.
In her practice, she prioritizes a holistic and biological approach to
patient care, aiming to identify the root cause of dental issues and
deliver personalised treatment plans that prioritize overall well-being and
patient preferences.
She strives to create a comfortable and relaxed environment for all her
patients, thereby reducing dental anxiety and fostering positive
experience.
Fluent in English, Malayalam, Tamil, and German, with proficiency in
Japanese. She is dedicated to serving the Warkworth community and is committed to helping individuals achieve and maintain bright and healthy smiles.
Outside of dentistry, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and
friends, listening to music and playing badminton.
